Peeps, for a few weeks i was having a pretty slow "connecting to spamfreeforums" when visiting. Two weeks ago i emailed support and all in all the reply was i should clean the server. So i made some changes, cleaned htaccess, changed logfile rotation etc. But it didn't help much. Recently i asked to fix errors in templates for the same reason. But still a slow sff.

Than yesterday i received email from members who could not get in at all. It was strange because i saw no problems. So i emailed support again, and it turned out some of their nameservers were wacky. They are still working on that issue. And in order to get a instant fix, they advised to change nameservers from servermatrix to planet. I did, and besides everyone could access again...i get a very fast loading sff ever since. Is it just me, or did this nameserverswitch also improve the speed alot?

Ps, tomorrow i run a full backup again. This takes a few minutes and while running, the domain is switched-off. Don't be alarmed...just check back after 5 minutes or so.
